What is a concussion?
A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) that occurs when the brain moves rapidly back and forth or is twisted inside the skull, because of a blow to the head or body. You do not have to lose consciousness or “black out” to suffer TBI. Most individuals with a TBI do not lose consciousness. Instead, they develop worsening symptoms in the days and weeks following their injury. To speed up your relief and recovery, reach out to a TBI specialist right away.
