To The Black Community,
We see you and stand with you in solidarity against racism and social injustice.
Together we share in the anger, frustration, and horror at what pain we humans repeatedly inflict on each other. We understand our collective differences are what make us stronger. There is no excuse for racist behavior.
Today, I want to share what we are doing.
First things first, we're listening to our employees through individual conversations and forums for continued dialog facilitated by our established Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity committee. In the last 24 hours, we've focused 100% on what's needed and how we can provide support.
From these conversations, we decided to donate to the NAACP Defense Fund, whose focus combats systematic racism. Here is the link if you choose to join us https://www.naacpldf.org.
Most importantly, we remain committed to continued education on social injustice and actively doing something about it. Diversity is one of our core values here at Success. When each employee joins our company, they commit to living these values. Two of which are, "Embrace Diversity," and "Demonstrate Dignity & Respect." Traumatic brain injury (TBI) does not discriminate, and neither do we.
In the days and weeks to follow, Success Rehabilitation will build on the impacts of our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion committee, our Employee Resource Groups, and our passionate people as we continue to develop a meaningful approach to drive action and change. We are especially grateful to our black team members for their insights and leadership during these very difficult days.
